Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello to everyone...I hope you all had an amazing thanksgiving! Our thanksgiving was full of all kinds of love and laughter! We started off last Tuesday, November 20, by driving to Burnet to celebrate my brother's 18 birthday! We met him and the rest of the family there to have dinner and open the night unfolded he would get a present, always a radio, but progressively larger radios, until the last present...his brand new truck with the biggest radio of the night! He was so surprised and needless to say hard to find the rest of the weekend! He definitely deserves it!

Another great surprise of Thanksgiving, Wyatt was able to meet my dad's dad, grandaddy. As most of you know, my dad had a very distant relationship with his father growing up, at the age of 6 my dad was left with his mother and brothers without a father. It is funny how life turns, because here we are, 40 years later, and my dad is taking care of his elderly, long lost dad. Grandaddy had a stroke a few months ago and is slowly recovering. All I can say is my mom and dad have the heart of their Father. It isn't often in this world that people care so genuinely for someone who never cared in the first place. All in all, the day was great. Grandaddy, although distant, definately knows his family and smiles often at the sight of Brandon, my brother, as I think he reminds him of his son, my dad, a very long time ago. All our love to grandaddy, and many prayers daily!

Wyatt and I left Thanksgiving day and headed back to Needville for time with his parents and relatives. On the way, about lunch time, we stopped at a gas station and shared our first Thanksgiving lunch as a married couple...convienent store popcorn! It was definatley a memory we will never forget! As we rushed in the door of his aunts home, getting out of the chilly wind, we were met with the sweet smell of homecooked "real" Thanksgiving food! We stuffed ourselves full with ham, turkey, dressing, and all the fixings!!! We can still feel the stomach pains of being so full!

Through all the driving, hunting, eating, birthdays and being with eachother, we have so much to be thankful for. Wyatt and I feel so blessed to have entered into such a loving and committed relationship not only between eachother but our amazing families. What a special time with family and friends. Every day we thank the Lord for such wonderful blessings!

All our love, and so many prayers to all our family and friends...we are so thankful for each and every one of you!

In Him, for first giving to us His love and His life...

Our First Blog!

Hello Everyone! Wyatt and I are excited to start something that can keep everyone updated with our family. I started this blog because of a family friend, Meredith Tichenor. She and her husband just celebrated the birth of their first son, Carson, and was able to keep everyone in touch through their family blog! I was amazed at the convenience of the Blog so I decided it was about time to catch up with the times. So here we go...

For those who do not know, Wyatt and I started our family on July 21, 2007. We had an incredible day filled with Love, Family and many friends! We hosted a party for about 750 guests and made so many great memories! We have been writing Thank You notes for about 4 months now and still cannot say it enough! "Thank You" to everyone who was apart of our special day, and to everyone who lifted prayers and thoughts as well. We honeymooned in St. Maarteen, Virgin Islands, West Indies, and have been living in Needville, TX. ever since.

Wyatt graduated back in May 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry, fully intending on starting medical school, however, the story of our relationship is we cannot count on our plan because God usually points us in another direction! Wyatt started working for a TelCom company, CBeyond, and through the Grace of God met a partner Jeff Wilson who then, offered Wyatt a partnership in a telecommunications firm. God is Good! We have been so blessed by WilCom and Wyatt is ten times happier...which means I am happier! It is true what God teaches, "When a couple has a sorrow the sorrow is halved, but as they share Joy it is multiplied!"

As for as myself...I graduated back in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I took a few months and worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. However, God had some other plans. I am still involved with Nursing but searching the Word for something God is trying to tell me. That may sound weird, but Wyatt and I are sure that God is at work in our lives and we are keeping options open. Everyone's prayers are certainly welcomed. I spend alot of time making our house a home, learning to cook and trying new recipes, studying the Word and loving my husband!

We have shared in the beginning of many marriages since our own and are looking forward to many more in the next year(s) to come! We are blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful friends and constantly encouraged by our amazing families! All our love...

Until next time - Wyatt & Kyla
