Something I forgot...

On my last post about the BIG 3 for the Epicenter, I forgot to mention one sort-of "big-in-a-little-package" detail...

The news did come as a shock, I mean Karlie is only 18 months but, we are overjoyed as Jennifer and Charlie are bringing another life into this world. I can only pray for a safe, term pregnancy and an easy delivery! And, added bonus...this means another year of the pressure NOT on us to have a little one :)

Here is a clip of Karlie last weekend...loving life and loving Peek-A-Boo with Mommy!

(Sorry it is sideways...I can't fix it!)
...See you next time! WK

The Epicenter turns 3...and gets a BIG present!

After 3 years of great ministry out of an old furniture building my dad's church, The Church at the Epicenter, gets a new building! This whole process has been full of blessing after blessing. While my dad searched and searched for land to house the building on, a man from the church came in and said, "Why spend all this money on dirt...I have dirt" and literally gave him the land he needed to build this tool for ministry! To make it even better, the building sits on acreage RIGHT BEHIND my parents place! Perfect. The weekend was full of last minute touches, decorating and trying to put a little color in this 'empty' building but, come Sunday it was definitely full of color, people, music, laughter, friends and family...but most importantly, it was full of the Holy Spirit. This church is a huge blessing to my family, the people of Burnet and to many other visitors from around the Hill Country area! Wyatt and I love visiting, being filled by the Word and spending time with family! It was a great weekend...

One of the many little touches that makes this place so special...

The view from the highway...the 'real' front

inside the sanctuary, the band is off to the side - Notice Brandon behind the drums! :)

The view from our home!

We have started our traveling again! From this point on...till the second weekend of December we are booked every weekend! We travel from Sugar Land to Dallas, Houston to Vegas, and back to Burnet all within the next pray for traveling mercies! And, look forward to many more blog posts from fun events in the Sbrusch family!

All our love...WK

Happy 25th Birthday, Wyatt!

Even though Wyatt's birthday is not until Tuesday (10-21) we took advantage of this GORGEOUS weekend and celebrated early! I had been planning for a while to have a theme of "25" which is a no-brainer considering he is 25. :) I purchased 25 presents, 25 balloons, hid them in 25bags at 25 different locations and made 25 riddles for him to follow around to find them! It was a really fun scavenger hunt and he played along so well! We had a blast with our family!

The hard part...organizing!

The best love!

The fun part...the hunt!

The family part...sharing!

The end...CAKE!

I love celebrating anything, especially when that 'anything' is my husband! I am so blessed by his hard work and love that I figured a whole weekend dedicated to him was well deserved! On his actual birthday we are going with our bible study group to see "Fireproof". According to my parents, this movie is a great one to see with your, another birthday dinner and a movie are in store!

Dave Matthews and Santana...great.

Where you are, that's where I wanna be
And through your eyes, all the things I wanna see
And in the night, you are my dream
You're everything to me

You're the love of my life
And the breath in my prayers
Take my hand, lead me there
What I need is you here

I can't forget the taste of your mouth
From your lips the heavens pour out
I can't forget when we are one
With you alone I am free

Everyday, every night, you alone
You're the love of my life
Everyday, every night, you alone,
You're the love of my life

We go dancing in the moonlight
With the starlight in your eyes
We go dancing till the sunrise
You and me we're gonna dance, dance, dance

Samantha and Clay move in!

After a LONG awaited signing of the papers, Sam and Bub finally get to move in! They are getting married this coming March and are ready to be home...

this is the living room...the walls used to be red! But, thanks to Sam's dear mom and a day FULL of painting, we get neutral beige...better.

another view of the living room with a hint of the kitchen.

I LOVE THE FURNITURE. Very classic Texas.

Master bedroom and bath...there are 3 bedrooms total, two baths, laundry room, living/dining room and a study...

...the door to the right leads out to the covered patio that then leads to the 10 acres behind the house. I also caught Sam walking in! ;)

This was a huge blessing for our dear friends and Wyatt and I cannot wait to have a sleep over...footie-pj's and all!

1st grade...

I subbed first grade this week...I feel for teachers, they have five days and NO breaks!

Tuesday, we had "Fire Prevention" activities through out the day which gave us a good break from the classroom. The kids were so cute and so interested in the questions like, " How hot does it have to get before your burn up in there?" (talking to the man all dressed in his gear) and "Do you get to go to cool car crashes?" or my favorite, "How fast can your truck go?" innocently naive. Precious all the same. Here are my little angels...

boys will be boys...

girls are precious.

he was in the same rodeo as my buddy race debut except, he won a buckle...I won a sore groin. :)

they were mocking me...

We did practice the letter "c" and addition problems! We wrote letters to the fireman and practiced the "Stop, Drop and Roll" along with crawling low under smoke. We also practiced counting by 1's, 5's and 10's...through all that I am still sane and going back for more tomorrow!

They really were a great class...and tomorrow should be just as great. We will see...pray for steadfastness and mercy. :)

Home Alone...Yuck.

I am NOT the type of wife that likes to be alone. Wyatt and I do everything together! This week, Wyatt is gone to Chicago for the week. I am so sad. Sunday morning was full of faces like this...

Boo on whoever thought up the "work travel"...well, scratch that...
Boo on whoever came up with the "work travel without your wife"!

Needless to say, this is the first time Wyatt went on a plane without me. The first time I will be staying home alone. The first time we have been separated for more than one night. The first of a lot of sad things :(

On the BRIGHT side, Wyatt's 25th Birthday is coming up! So, this week I get plenty of time to line up my creative thoughts and have a super birthday planned for my one and only.

If any of my ladies read this and are home alone too call me!! Amanda, that shout out is to you!! ;)

So, here's to another great weekend full of fun times and great memories! Our next wedding will be in November for Blake and Amy! Another great mini vacation to Dallas! new passion!

So a girlfriend of mine just started as a school nurse in Sugar Land, and in my many times of frustration with my last Doctors office I would call her and ask her job? stay here? back to the hospital? find a new physician?...She ALWAYS said, "girl, you would love school nursing!" Well, Needville isn't looking for a school nurse at this time but is in the process of building/expanding and have stated when the time comes I am on their list. So, until then, I am subbing. AND I LOVE IT! I sub every grade from Kindergarten through 9th grade. ( I am scared of High School :) ) I frequently fill in for the school nurse, when needed, but usually 4 out of five days a week I am in school. Who would of thought I would have liked it so much? Definitely not me, but I really do!

This past week, one of my days was spent in PE at the Elementary school. Here is what I did all day...

Each period consisted of four classes coming together...We would do warm-up excercises then spread out for a HUGE game of "catch a falling star" (Cute, I know)

When the whistle blew this is what I saw!

They LOVED it...almost as much as me :)
