time flies when you are having FUN!

Of course, it has been a while since my last update but, it seems that every time I think about updating the blog I am so sleepy and have so much on my mind that I get sidetracked then forget. So, here we are, about a week since the last post and I am just now getting around to it! Oh well...At least I AM getting around to it!
We had a Saturday full of weddings last weekend (June 20) which felt a little weird because it has been a while since our "wedding every weekend run" and we weren't exactly on our "A" game! I mean first, we had Jacob, a two year old, for the three nights before so, that equals a little disorganization on my part because I wasnt thinking about wedding gifts and outfits I was thinking about lunch, fun activities to go do to keep a two year old occupied, dinners, laundry etc...all you moms know exactly what all a two year old entails! With that said, when Saturday rolled around we got up and got Jake ready to meet up with his family then it dawns on me...NO GIFT! crap.
Target, here we come!!! So at the last minute we did pull together a fab gift and off we went to celebrate the first wedding of the evening...Mr and Mrs. Bret Page

Bret was one of Wyatt's college football team mates and also one of his roommates! We have great memories of that guy and now that he has someone to love makes us very happy!

Also, at the wedding Wyatt and I got to catch up with another roommate and great friend...

Brian, Natalie and Brooklyn Blair!

Natalie and Brian were both in our wedding and we jump at every opportunity we can to meet and catch up! Their family is about to move from the Woodlands to San Antonio and Wyatt and I cannot wait to visit!

Wyatt and Ms Brooklyn eating some pretzels! She is PrEcIoUs!!

After Bret Page's wedding, Wyatt and I made the drive back to the house, I did a real quick wardrobe change and we were off to our second wedding...Mr and Mrs. Zack Pasteka!
This wedding was a blast! We met up with Wyatts family and a lot of friends and had a blast eating and dancing at the good ol' KC Hall! (Sorry, these pictures are few...dang battery!)

Lately, Wyatt and I have been running around like crazy trying to tie things up for our MeXiCo trip coming up! We leave Wednesday and I could not be any more excited! The group of people going are amazing and it has been so hot lately that I feel like the only place to really enjoy myself is in the put all that together on a beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico and call me one happy lady!!

Getting packed around here consists of a few important steps...

1. Clean the house. I am a FREAK when it comes to organization and cleanliness and when we go on any kind of trip, whether it be one hour, one day, one week or one month I always leave the house clean and tidy. When I get home the LAST thing I want to do is walk in to a mess of a home!!

2. Go to Target and get all the essentials...
Since I can admit my faults, let me admit another one. I refuse to take the WHOLE bottle of anything when you can get these (see below) for 97 cents a piece! OMG...excuse the tampax, they definitley DO NOT belong in this picture...if blogger wasn't so dang slow at uploading pics i would re-do this. Oh well...
...and who doesn't need a travel bag! Def an essential even though Wyatt would most likely disagree! ;)

3. Pack. For myself and Wyatt...yes, he is that spoiled!!

This is our picture/wedding attire for this trip. Remember Jamaica? Similar but, blue this time!

I promise when we get back I wont take so long to update everyone on our fabulouso vacaciones! (Sorry Mr. Rosilez, I do not remember your Spanish class)

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!! Stay cool in this awful Texas heat!!

When it rains...

Well, it sure isn't raining in Needville but it seems to be POURING in the Sbrusch home...

*We went to look at a potential new home- a house we actually BOTH liked, it had a pending contract :/ ,
*we had a scare with our diesel engine-the Lord was watching bc it only cost $100,
*plans for a potentially fun weekend fell through - no fun,
*work is wearing my hubby out,
*camp is starting in the Byrd house and I have HUGE guilt for not being able to make it to visit before the summer rush,
*our TV starting smelling like burnt-something
*I realized my Christmas order was still sitting on my table, designes unfinished, and although I did take the finished designes to the store now, I worry they may not be complete in time for Christmas...

AAAHHHH! I mean, sometimes I feel like my stress level is nothing and other times I feel it sky-rockets! I know that all these things are not life/death situations but, I am the kind of person that has lists and when the list gets longer instead of shorter I feel overwhelmed. When I feel overwhelmed, I usually need my mom to come over and help me get started...

for example, when my parents moved out of a home in New Territory (Sugar Land), they left me behind to pack my room and finish a mini-mester that summer...I was so overwhelmed with clothes, pictures, knick-nacks, furniture and such that when my mom came back to pick me up, expecting a daughter in a empty house and a lot of boxes, she actually came into a house with a frazzled daughter, fully furnished bedroom still in tact, and EMPTY boxes! It was because I had no clue where to start packing and the fact that I had to pack an ENTIRE room was too much!!

All that to say, my list is growing with things like, 'find a new TV' and I have no idea what to look for. Or, 'house hunt' with the realization that what Wyatt looks for and what I look for are totally opposite. (He looks for specific price and acreage, I look for beautiful home on some land)

My prayer is for peace...and as I sit here and sip my coffee, I feel a little pressure relief simply from 'venting' on this blog...

thanks for reading.
sorry-I know this was totally random.

So What.

Oh relaxing weekend...we love you!

Wyatt and I have very different, but very challenging weekdays...long story short and skipping details, we absolutely LOVE our weekends! :)

Friday evening was spent with friends, that's a given, Saturday was spent with Tim and Denise shopping for a new camper (found and bought, YEAH! Pictures of that to come...river trip planned in August!) and Saturday evening was spent with Wyatt's Nalco team at a crawfish boil!
Chilling poolside...
See Wyatt, in the red shirt, he definitely had the LARGEST pile!
Fun for the kids in the playhouse and day, I may join that group ;)
The bigger kids had a blast, too!
Delicious and fun!

and so on to Sunday!...

"O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been His counselor? Or who has given a gift to Him that He might be repaid? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory for ever. Amen."

- Romans 11:33-36.

Today, as Wyatt and I sat side by side in church, I took a little time to reflect on what real riches He has blessed me with. Wyatt and I have been married almost two years now! Isn't that incredible? Crazy how time flies...anyway, in the sermon, Greg, our senior pastor, said "So What?" and it sparked my mind turning...

This life is a daily gift...the things this life offers, while at the moment seem so important, are really just things. But, if we, as followers of Christ, trust life to the Master Orchestrator than the "So What" of life are these...

Be the Right Person, Have the Right Words and Face the Right Challenges.

Be the right person to the people you encounter on a daily basis. Open your heart to what God is telling you. You never know when you are someone's God for the day. Having said that, God made you individual and unique. Be YOU...and be proud of you. He is.

Have the right words in your heart for those His word and make it your daily language. What language does your heart speak? The bible teaches in Luke 6 that "out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks". We are living in a society that thrives on "freedom of speech." A basic principle upon which this Christian nation was founded upon is being twisted and turned every day. Why? Because of the language of people’s hearts. The hatred in the screams of people is a result of the language of their hearts. The criticism of the cynic is a result of the language of their heart, the slurs against race and/or religion are the result of the language of that person's heart.

Lastly, Face the right challenges...remember that our worth is not is monetary things, we cannot take that stuff with us. But, rather, real worth-my worth, is in Him and is truly Eternal.

found the new "our song" ...

For the last few years, Wyatt and I have claimed 'our song' as "I Give", a duet with Shawn King and Willie Nelson...well, that song was never released (to our knowledge) and all we have is an iTune copy bought for us by his college room-mate's Wife, Natalie! We still absolutely love that song and it will forever be in our hearts being that it was our first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt Sbrusch...BUT, Wyatt came across this and I fell in love! Meet Jason Aldean...and his Big Green Tractor!

Big Green Tractor

She had a shiny little beamer with the rag top down,
Sittin' in the drive but she wouldn't get out,
The dogs were all barking and wagging around,
And I just laughed and said yall get in,
She had on a new dress and she curled her hair,
She was looking too good not to go somewhere,
Said what you want to do baby I don't care,
We can go to the show we can stay out here,

And I can take you for a ride on my big green tractor,
We can go slow or make it go faster,
Down through the woods and out to the pasture,
Long as I'm with you it really don't matter,
climb up in my lap and drive if you want to,
Girl you know you got me to hold on to,
We can go to town but baby if you'd rather,
I'll take you for a ride on my big green tractor.

Said we can fire it up and I can show you around,
Sit upon the hill and watch the sun go down,
When the fireflies are dancing and the moon comes out,
We can turn on the lights and head back to the house,

Or take another ride on my big green tractor,
We can go slow or make it go faster,
Down through the woods and out to the pasture,
Long as I'm with you it really don't matter,
Climb up in my lap and drive if you want to,
Girl you know you got me to hold on to,
We can go to town but baby if you'd rather,
I'll take you for a ride on my big green tractor,

Just let me dust off the seat,
Mmmmmm put your pretty little arms around me,

You can climb up in my lap and drive if you want to,
Girl you know you got me to hold on to,
We can go to town but baby if you'd rather,
I'll take you for a ride on my big green tractor,

Oh yeah yeah,
We can go to town,
Or we can go another round,
On my big green tractor.

If you know Wyatt and I, then you know that the whole "she was in a Beamer and he wants to ride a big green tractor" fits us like a glove! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do...and now, everytime you hear it, throw up a prayer for us! We love all of our friends and family and welcome prayers and support daily!
